Hog Roast Leominster – What is Hog Roasting?
As a specialist caterer it makes perfect sense to begin by telling you a little more about quite what our speciality actually is. Some customers may prefer of course to not see or hear how the magic is made, but when it comes to hog roasting a large part of the enjoyment is actually in being able to see it at work.
Hog roasting is a culinary tradition that has been a mainstay of cultural events and community celebrations for centuries. It is the practice of placing a whole pig on a spit over a hot fire for many hours, allowing it to turn over and over so that the fire leaves a natural roasting around the pork skin. The turning action of the spit also keeps the meat’s inner juices flowing all throughout, keeping the pork nice and tender and flavoursome all throughout. The result is juicy pork with a fine texturing of crispy pork skin for that excellent roast flavour.
With our hog roast we cook using a hog roasting machine, which is a portable version of the fire pit roast that we have engineered ourselves. These machines work the same way as the fire pit roast, only porting it to a self-contained, moveable unit so that we can cook anywhere on the go. A whole pig can sit in one unit and roast throughout the day, and we can then serve straight from our machines too once the roast is finished for an ultimate level of freshness. Our line of Hog Roast Leominster hog roasting machines also allow us to match to different demands and dining scenarios as they offer versatility and choice. We can cook many dishes at once on one roaster if we so choose, or cook in different styles such as grilling and barbecuing, or rotisserie style for our roast chickens.
The Hog Roast Leominster Story
Hog Roast Leominster was formed out of a lack of really quality roasting options in the catering market. Around 20+ years ago now our founders found that there was a gap in the availability of really stylishly made roasts for events, and the equipment available on the market at the time also meant achieving such a thing was also difficult. Our founders were not discouraged, however, and instead sourced parts of old roasting machines and began building their own hog roaster that would be able to do all that they reckon they needed to achieve authentic hog roasts for events.
We began small and have since only grown and grown, now boasting franchises up and down the country and possessing a fleet of roasting machines ready to fly out to any event so that everyone can enjoy our great tastes. We have held that initial passion for creating unique dining experience that drove the founding our business ever since, and bring it every single week to the many events that we attend. We cater to all types of events, and even 20 odd years on we still come to every event with a freshness and a high level of enthusiasm. We are here because we love what we do, and we believe that comes through in every single bite at every single event!
